COVID-19 Rental
Campaign

Your donated stimulus check will help pay rent for a family in need for a month. Consider donating, if you can.

Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers have lost their jobs and their ability to pay rent.

The eviction moratorium in NY helps, but doesn't solve the problem. Without help to pay rent every month, an unprecedented number of New Yorkers will fall behind on rent by several months. By the moratorium's end, thousands will be faced with eviction, and the organizations that typically help with financial assistance to ensure people don't become homeless won't be able to meet the extraordinary need.

You can help.

Donate part of your stimulus check so that fellow New Yorkers can stay safe in their homes and avoid homelessness. Plus, you’ll help small landlords from falling on hard times and make the economy stronger for us all.

Why is this so important now?

  • By April 3, 370,000 city residents had filed unemployment claims – compared to 13,000 claims in the same week in 2019
    — NYS is estimating a 13% unemployment rate (vs. 9% at the height of the 2008 economic crash)
  • 1 in 4 New Yorkers pay more than half of their income on rent
    — Many have less than $500 in savings

With Covid-19, our efforts to keep people housed are more crucial than ever. Your donation helps.
