World AIDS Day
Partnership clients and staff commemorate World AIDS Day by telling us how they're Facing AIDS.
Every year, on December 1st, the world takes a moment to think about the impact that HIV/AIDS has had on our lives. The Partnership for the Homeless stands together with HIV activists and all people living with HIV/AIDS to honor progress made in fighting the disease and to remember those we lost. As we do, we recommit our energies to help gain adequate HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support for those at risk for or living with HIV/AIDS, especially access to adequate and stable housing.
The theme for this year’s remembrance is Facing AIDS, with people and organizations throughout the world posting photos with statements about how HIV/AIDS has affected them. The Partnership, through Positive Step, joined in by taking photos and collecting written statements from staff, clients and friends.
